Lease Deed

A lease deed is an agreement or contract between the owner of a property (the landlord), also known as the lessor, and the tenant or lessee of the property. This contract will contain all the terms and conditions to be followed while that property is being rented out to that particular tenant.

A standard lease is for a period of 11 months. A rental agreement is usually on month to month basis. A lease is renewed with mutual consent and a new deed is registered to the same effect. A rental is an automatic renewal on payment of monthly rent

The lease deed agreement is a binding contract and is enforceable in a court of law if either the landlord or the tenant fails to abide by its terms. The purpose of a lease deed agreement is to protect both the landlord and the tenant by clearly defining their rights and responsibilities.

Name and details of the parties – The name, address, and details of the lessor and lessee form the basis of the lease agreement. Description of the property – The lease deed should include the property’s address, location, size, area, and boundaries.
